Susan continues her series on cooking with green tea at Friendly Market. This hands on class will feature a focus tea tasting paired with yummy snacks provided by Yesterday's. We complete this awesome event with a four course meal.

Wether you are new to Matcha or have been drinking this powerful beverage for awhile, this fun and super informative class is for you! Join our owner, Susan, as she separates all the health hype from the facts and explains how to be an educated consumer/select quality matcha. All class participants will receive hands on instruction with chawan and chasen and opportunities for perfecting their whisking technique! $10 per person

Each comparative cupping event involves a flight of at least three superior or rare teas from a particular region/country/or class of tea. Light appetizers are included to enhance the experience and prepare the palette for your maximum enjoyment. Creative tea/food pairings are our specialty! These events are a great date night or for anyone desiring to explore the world of tea! Tea newbies or tea enthusiasts will enjoy these evenings with Susan, our owner, as she shares her passion for all things tea.

Focus Tasting: Teas of Hawaii
Got the winter blues? Then join Susan, our owner, for this tropical treat guaranteed to give your spirits and palette a lift! Did you know that teas bought in bags, were possibly picked years ago? This comparative cupping will focus on the teas of Hawaii - all freshly picked weeks ago, not years! Sip tea while Susan demonstrates the Gongfu cha method of tasting, and explains how this one humble leaf is processed into green, black, and oolong tea.
